Top Ched Lax
Top Ched Lax started my sophomore year of college. One of my fellow teammates and I thought it would be fun to try and make shirts and sell them. We designed a few shirts, created a website portraying the "lax bro" culture we wanted throughout the copy and blog posts we were writing. After we released the shirts they were a quick hit as we sold out all our inventory! In total, it was probably around 100 shirts.Inspired by the sun drenched, salt stained, American born lax lifestyle, Top Ched Lax is the eye-catching clothing that will set you apart in a crowd. Our clothing may be too bold for most to pull off, but that is exactly what makes it so special for those who can. Ask yourself, do you have what it takes to be daringly different?
Although, short lived, it was fun to create a physical product and go from designing, purchasing, managing inventory, "marketing," and selling and shipping it. Other than the first sale, probably the highlight of Top Ched Lax's time was when I was browsing social media one day and came across a video of a guy, who I didnt know, was wearing one of the shirts!
